Addressed and hand-carried

“To Mrs. Sarah Price Bogouchtto (sic) P O, Miss. Additionally someone has written “with

the politeness of Mr. John C Hodges” some light and even discoloration to the cover and

slight blotching of the colors.

A fine example of a hand-delivered letter, with the super Southern “politeness of” confirming the let-

ter’s hand delivery, by someone not necessarily the post man. This is a rare cover and was made by L.

E. Pradat, Gothic Store, in Shieldsborough, MS. An example can be seen in Wishnietsky

(Confederate Covers) page 76, figure 118.
