Parrini worked in the monumental, epic style of the Mussolini era. His output primarily consisted of
posters for the Milan Trade Fair, but he also designed at least two posters for the International Aircraft
Exhibition which was held in Milan in conjunction with the Trade Fair. He designed the poster for
the 2nd Aircraft Exhibition which was held in 1937, and this one, two years later. Here, he cleverly
incorporates a trio of Fasces on the tail fin of the plane in the foreground, while the three planes in
the distance are streaming the colors of the Italian flag behind them.
