featuring views of the Atlantic Avenue Station. Includes images of workers posing in the shaftways,
airlocks, and tunnels with train tracks and other construction elements, as well as a handsome posed
group portrait of the engineers and inspectors in hats and bowties, and a couple outdoor scenes
with large equipment. Silver prints, most measuring approximately 6

accomplished amateur photographer Oliver Hall,
with many relating to M.I.T. Includes scenes of a
wireless lab, nocturnal electrical displays, campus
views and interior pics of the university, portraits
of students, and picturesque scenes of subway
construction in Boston and PerthAmboy.Hall was
an engineering student at M.I.T. (and the brother
of Suffragette Louise Hall); with an additional 30
snapshots of Hall, his friends, and family members.

Hall was a skilled photographer (see lot 80) who, in
this album, focused his attentions on laborers, views of
laboratories at M.I.T., campus life, scenic views, and
snapshots of his family and friends. Of particular note
are interior studies of electrical power plants at Perth
Amboy and illuminated displays of signage.
