actresses in unidentified stage productions in
which the photographer has captured climatic
theatrical moments; most are distinctively
melodramatic while others are unintentionally
humorous. Silver contact prints, approximately
5x4 inches (12.7x10.2 cm.), and the reverse,
several with orange grease pencil retouching
marks on recto, and many with hand stamps
and notations on verso; with a few cartes-
postale and small prints; duplicates and/or
