“Eckersley enjoyed a long and distinguished career in graphic design. Eckersley designed his first
posters in 1935 and continued until 1995 . . . [He] attended Salford School of Art from 1930 to 1934
where he met Eric Lombers. The two began to design posters together . . . and quickly established
themselves as poster designers in London. From 1935 onwards, they received a steady flow of
