A very nicely done poster for an all black minstrel company. We were unable to find anything more on

the promoter Arthur Hockland, or “Struttin’ Sam.”

A SCARCE COMPLETE SET

of Real Photo post cards representing the “Cake Walk” which at the

turn of the 20th century was all the rage. The French, always the “avant gardes” were enthralled with

“Le Cake Walk” and would later welcome Josephine Baker, Sidney Bechet and a host of expatriate

African-American performers.
