A pair of uncommon “Wanted” posters, not
issued by the FBI as usual but rather by New
Jersey, the state in which Chesimard had been
held, serving a life sentence for the shooting
death of a New Jersey State Trooper.
Chesimard’s poster bears the following warning:
“USE EXTREME CAUTION TO BE
CONSIDERED EXTREMELY DAN-
GEROUS.” Chesimard’s escape was carefully
planned and boldly carried out by a band of
fellow Black Liberation Army compatriots. She
is still free, living in Cuba.
