around the world, many of them in Spanish America and Asia. Of particular American
interest are volumes III (including California), VII (Mexico and South America), VIII

Reprints a 1673 Jesuit letter, and concludes with 6 paragraphs on the later growth of the
missions through 1726. Mentions the California missions. Medina apparently never saw this
publication, and describes it three times with incomplete second-hand information each time.
