Apart from the two first issues: January, 1955 and October-November-
December, 1955, this is an unbroken run of Moslem World and the U.S.A. This
well-produced and well-written magazine was the first such illustrated monthly journal of
Islam published in the United States. Malcolm X was minister of the New York Temple of
Islam at this time and he and Elijah Muhammad share the front cover as “Disciple and
Teacher.”
