Lebanon, and Egypt.The diverse imagery features

many well-known sites, including the Wailing

Wall and Dome of the Rock, the Suez Canal,

Egyptian pyramids, ports, studio portraits of men

and women in traditional clothing, a panorama

of Jerusalem, as well as a final group portrait of

the travelers and their guides; about a third of the

images with a credit, most for Bonfils or Sébah,
