Group of 30 mugshots of “boxcar riders” arrested by the Michigan Central Railroad throughout
the Midwest and Northeast. Includes men using colorful aliases, such as Speed Reed, Slim Long, or
Saginaw Shorty, who were charged with indecent liberties, gambling, larceny, burglary, forgery,
pickpocketing, assault with intent to murder, and “box car thief-meat;” their accomplices are also
