FRIEDRICH WILHELM; KURFÜRST VON BRANDENBURG. Letter

Signed, to “the Governor, President,Vice-Chancellor and Councilmen of Halberstadt,” in

German, ordering a prompt response to the petition from the villages of Zilly, Häuser, and

Athenstedt, who claim they have not been able to obtain justice and are threatened with

ruin after their property was improperly seized. 2 pages, folio, with integral address leaf;

chipping to lower edge, evenly toned, few scattered tiny holes (with minor loss), some loss

to seal.

the Electorate of Hanover, because he feared that French troops would attempt to occupy it.The

King was an elector in Hanover, where he exerted political influence in the Holy Roman

Empire.
