map. The Scottsboro Boys and their various trials and tribulations occupied the news for quite some

time, the last acts of which stretched into the 1950’s. The Scottsboro case was, together with the trial of

Angelo Herndon, the beginning of the modern civil rights struggle. OCLC locates only five copies.
