comprehensively with the handwriting and other

characteristics of Greek manuscripts that it

remained the leading authority on the subject for almost two centuries” (Bischoff). Pages 441-509

reprint the Greek text, together with a Latin translation, of the 1701 account by Ioannis Komnenos
