A SCRAP BOOK WITH EXCEPTIONAL CONTENT
,
recording a student’s experiences from 1925-
through 1929. A treasure trove of Hampton ephemera, with all sorts of unusual memorabilia. A
broadside “We Demand An Explanation!” printed in red demands the ouster of a white teacher for
“discourtesy and boorishness,” not to mention his “luring certain women to his room.” The pho-
tographs identify people at the Institute as well as fellow students.
