The archive comprising 35 announcements in

Stieglitz’s facsimile cursive script and 45 catalogs/

checklists. 4to-sized sheets and 8vo self-wrappers;

condition generally good; a few with Stieglitz’s

handwritten corrections. 1930-circa 1950

The archive includes a wealth of printed matter

associated with important O’Keeffe, Dove,

Marin, Stieglitz, and Ansel Adams exhibitions. It

is interesting to see how many shows were

dedicated to a few artists, notably O’Keeffe and

Marin.The archive also includes typewritten lists

of artworks featured in particular shows (some

are carbon copies) and brief documents related

to gallery business.There are also printed articles

by Herbert J. Seligmann, Dorothy Norman,

Ralph Flint, Evelyn Howard, and Cary Ross, as well as Rainer Maria Rilke’s

Letters to aYoung Poet.
