Provenance: acquired directly from the artist; Bernard and Blanche Orr, Philadelphia; thence by
descent to the current owner, private collection, NewYork. Bernard Orr was personnel director at
the Philadelphia Housing Authority where Thrash worked in the 1950s; Orr became a patron and
supporter of the artist.
