Album containing more than 300 remarkable snapshots by a professional photographer that depict

the far-ranging military service of the 82nd Airborne Division. With pictures of revues before

Generals Paton and Eisenhower, 58 extraordinary pictures of the Normandy invasion, as well as

liberated prisoners from a concentration camp, plus scenes in Casablanca, Northern Ireland, Italy

(Naples and Sicily), Holland and the United Kingdom (Leicester, with views of Gen. Ridgeway).

Silver prints, each approximately 3x4 inches (7.6x10.2 cm.), mounted 3 to 5 prints per page,

recto/verso, most pages calligraphically annotated in white chalk. Oblong folio, leatherette, worn;

contents detached; ties; contents clean and bright. 1943-45
