Group of approximately 110 hard images with
American photographers’ printed backs from
the post-daguerreian-era that advertise Picture
Galleries, Portrait Rooms, Saloons, or Institutes;
with the photographer’s name, photographic
services offered, business addresses and, often,
period prices. With 19 ambrotype portraits,
mainly produced in Massachusetts (Boston),
which are housed in brass mats and preservers;
and more than 91 tintypes, many by Brooklyn,
NewYork or Northeast photographers, housed
in period mats, a few with tax revenue stamps;
and approximately 20 loose cards (without
