brothers (3 depicting the flyers in the air), 6 of Orville and Wilbur and/or Wilbur alone, a picture
ofWm. Preston Mayfield with his camera, street scenes in Dayton, Ohio, views of motors and parts,
plus a picture of theWright Bros.’ bicycle, their shop (where the first plane was built), photographic
records depicting drawings of planes and devices to test air flow, parades honoring the Wrights’
invention, the flyer on display in the Dayton auditorium, an image of Mayfield, Orville Wright’s
estate, the aftermath of a crash, commemorative scenes and more. Silver prints, 8x10 inches
(20.3x25.4 cm.), and smaller, many byWilliam Preston Mayfield, with his “Aero-Photo” hand stamp
on verso and Burton's notations. 1910-1940s; many are printed later
