Condition A: minor tears in lower right corner.
Solon specialized in aviation posters. For a while
he worked under contract with Farman Airlines,
and later went on to design memorable images
for Air France, KLM and Lufthansa. Baltic Air
Express, originally connecting Antwerp and
Malmo, was a subdivision of Sabena which
began operating in 1931.

Condition B+: creases, abrasions and restoration
in margins and image.
A complex design involving a sundial and a
projection of the world, which despite its
intricate detail, manages to efficiently convey its
message. Stylistically this poster is exceptional
for
Pan American
, as most of their posters from
this era featured their planes and/or one of their
destinations. Although no information can be
found about this artist, it seems clear that he is
following the modernist trend set by Abram
Games for BEA posters from the same period.
