. Although seen here
approaching Manhattan’s west side,
The Bremen
was initially too big to dock along the west shore
and had to use the Brooklyn Army Terminal until better facilities were ready. When passengers
complained about the extra ride, the line responded by saying, “You are that much closer to Europe
when you sail on the
Bremen
or
Europa
