Early in 1966, Warhol began hosting a series of multimedia happenings, with shows including
performances by the Velvet Underground and Nico (Warhol was managing the band at this time),
screenings of his films and other performances by members of the Factory. The show traveled across
the country, playing in major cities such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Boston,
Chicago, New York, Provincetown and many others.
