David Rivera
David Rivera has worked at Swann Galleries since February 2007, and currently serves as the administrator for the books & manuscripts department. As an administrator he handles consignment agreements, assists specialists with condition reports, oversees exhibitions, and vets potential consignments for Swann's several books sales each year. He helped the Associated Press with a news segment on a Civil War–period carte-de-visite album which included two photographs of Harriet Tubman that sold for $161,000 in 2017.
David discovered his interest in fine books and manuscripts after working as an assistant floor manager at Swann, in 2021 he completed the Descriptive Bibliography: The Fundamentals course at the Rare Book School at the University of Virginia. In his spare time David enjoys sports and spending time with his family.
