Alexandra Nelson has worked in the Communications Department at Swann Galleries since 2011, where she oversees public relations, social media, marketing and web development. She stepped into the role of Communications Director in spring of 2015, and became an auctioneer in the fall of that year. In 2017 Alex was a panelist at Invaluable's Auction House Summit. She serves as auctioneer for a handful of charity auctions each year, from small fundraisers to large benefits.
Before her time at Swann, Alex managed operations for a New York City photography dealer, and, before that, produced videos for an international bank. She went to Emerson College, where she studied Media and Photography.
Alex collects postcards of Hudson county, NJ, contemporary ceramics, and whatever else feels right. If you send her a postcard, she'll send one back.
