Including: The History of the Valorous and Witty Knight-Errant Don Quixote of the Mancha. Translated into English by Thomas Shelton, and Now Printed Verbatim from the 4to Edition of 1620. With a Curious Sett of New Cuts from the French of Coypel, London: Printed for Walthoe et alia, 1731, 4 12mo volumes illustrated with 21 folding engravings; bound in full uniform contemporary sprinkled calf boldly emblazoned with the gilt arms of the first Earl Waldegrave on all 8 boards, with his engraved bookplate inside each board; 6 1/2 x 3 3/4 in.
[Together with] The History of the Renowned Don Quixote de la Mancha, London: Mr. Motteux, 1771; 4 12mo volumes bound in full contemporary English calfskin, nicely preserved with red lettering pieces and volume numbers tooled in gilt to spines, slight cracking to some endcaps; some leaves torn with marginal losses; ex libris Elizabeth Heinzelmann, with her signatures dated 1806 on the first leaf of text in each volume; 6 1/4 x 3 1/2 in.
