Limited edition, 8 quarto volumes; number 14 of 375 copies; text printed in red, blue and black; illustrated with headings and initials by Jocelyn V. Gaskin and hand-colored marginal illustrations by Hugh Chesterman; bound in original holland-backed blue boards with printed paper spine labels, with extra copies of printed spine labels inserted in each volume (minor toning to spines, a few superficial scuffs and blemishes); 11 1/4 x 8 in.

Provenance: American journalist and bibliophile Barton Currie (1877-1962) with his bookplate; and the bookplate of Brian Douglas Stilwell.
