This work is dedicated to Barbara Rose (1936-2020), an art historian who focused on 20th-Century American Art movements, notably minimalism and abstract expressionism. Rose was married to the artist Frank Stella from 1961-69 and was senior curator at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, from where she curated the first Lee Krasner retrospective, which was exhibited at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, and the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
