Lisa de Kooning (1956-2012) was the artist's and the illustrator Joan Ward's (1927-2005) only child and, following his death, was the conservator of De Kooning's (1904-1907) vast collection of works. Her philanthropy supported numerous groups in and around The Springs and Easthampton, Long Island, as well as across the United States and internationally.
