Alexander Lazuk operated Midtown Frame Shop at 61 West 74th Street in New York, across the street from Soyer's studio at 54 West 74th Street. Lazuk and his wife Vera moved to Long Island and founded the Vera Lazuk Gallery in Fort Salonga in the 1950s (the gallery later moved to Cold Spring Harbor).
