Oblong oversized folio containing eighteen of nineteen sheets demonstrating ornate handwriting, penwork, and calligraphy, including vignette drawings incorporating figures, cupids, dogs, cats, birds, eagles, a lion; looping fancy penmanship, and examples of different hands, samples of calling cards, and other material; each page numbered, lacking leaf fifteen; bound in contemporary paper-covered boards, 16 1/2 x 12 in. [together with] a professionally written letter in a fine hand from the same period inserted.
