Folio, title page printed in red and black with woodcut vignette of Jerome at his desk, consulting a book; with Huguetan's device on final leaf; bound in full contemporary English calf over oak boards tooled in blind with a rolled tool with Tudor roses, a castle motif, and fleur-de-lis; with extensive contemporary and near-contemporary Latin inscriptions (and English names) to title and in the text; formerly rebacked, both boards detached, catches present, lacking clasps, later pastedowns and flyleaves, 9 3/4 x 7 in.
The vignette on the title is the same used by George Parker Winship for his personal bookplate, a copy of which is inserted in this copy.
