Folio, title in red and black within border, illustrated with full-page woodcuts of the creation of Eve (appearing twice) and a portrait of the dedicatee, and dozens of text woodcuts throughout both testaments; the New Testament begins with a woodcut of Melanchthon and Luther at the crucifixion on the title (bottom corner torn away, effectively removing the imprint but not affecting the woodcut); lacking three text leaves: Q3, Q4, & Q5 (pages 87-89) in the New Testament, and the final two leaves (Ccc7 & Ccc8) the final signature badly damaged, repaired with Japanese tissue, and misbound; bound in later parchment over wooden boards, lacking clasps and catches, parchment rumpled and coming away from the boards, worming, some awkwardness to the spine, many faults to the contents, including toning, signs of handling, dog-eared corners, stains, etc., a well-read copy, four leaves in the O.T. printed on one side only with no loss of text; 12 1/4 x 8 in.
