This group of photographs depicts the building of the Berlin Wall's structure in 1961 and the events of the following decade, including pedestrians and cars crossing the border checkpoints, separated families, soldiers patrolling, and guard towers. Silver prints, the images measuring approximately 5x7 inches (12.7x17.8 cm.), a few slightly larger, a few the reverse, each with a printed or typed caption in German and press hand stamp, and almost all with the printed date, on verso. 1960s
