A collection of hand-assembled and personalized albums to document a variety of performances or characters, seemingly showing the same two or three actors, mostly headshots in character and costume, some hand colored. The albums include a number of photo booth-style selfies with a wide range of dynamic expressions, larger-than-life depictions of personas, and more formal studio shots; some characters portraying now outdated stereotypes. Oblong 4tos and one larger, the images usually measuring 1½x1¼ to 5x3½ inches (3.8x3.2 to 12.7x8.9 cm.), some larger, most glued or cornered, with some loose, mounted recto/verso, one album with captions. 1910s-50s
