A group of approximately 45 aerial photographs of the Big Apple.
Including several skyline shots showcasing the iconic profile of the lower and mid-Manhattan island (one taken at night), as well as many focusing on the Upper West Side, images showing infrastructure improvements made to the city's road and bridge system, and other landmarks. A couple are credited to the Curtiss-Wright Flying Service and Fairchild Aerial Surveys. Silver prints, the images measuring 7½x9½ inches (19.1x24.1 cm.), and slightly smaller, and the reverse, some sheets slightly larger, two are mounted, about half with credit or identifying hand stamps and/or mimeographed caption labels, others just with a date, in pencil, on verso. 1930s-60s; a couple printed later
