First edition, folio, illustrated with engraved armorial "Lector" leaf facing added engraved title, and an additional twenty-eight double-page maps, plates, and plans; Robert Southey's copy, with signature dated London, March 25, 1808 on ffep, repeated in a tiny hand at the foot of the title, between the double rules; bound in later boards, gilt-tooled spine (old rebacking), boards detached, bumped, and damaged, tear with loss to blank top outer corner of typographical title; 13 1/4 x 8 3/4 in.
