First edition, two octavo volumes, frontispieces present in both volumes, illustrated with one large folding steel-engraved map of Texas, Part of Mexico, and the United States, showing the roue of the expedition, bound opposite first leaf of text in the first volume, and five other finely executed steel engravings (two bound as frontispieces); some toning and water stains to contents; bound in full uniform publisher's brown textured cloth, stamped in blind on covers, lettered in gilt on spine, bindings somewhat shaken, sewing loosening somewhat, without repairs, 8 x 5 in.
