II folded at the foot); with eight folding maps in the text; bound in contemporary tan calf, spines tooled and labelled in gilt, joints cracked and weak, front board detached vol. I; contents good, 7 3/4 x 4 3/4 in. (2)

The second edition is considered superior to the first with most of the text concerned with French Canada and the territory along the Mississippi and Great Lakes, and a short section on the West Indies at the end.
