A selection of 120 photographs of both single men and duos posing provocatively while dressed as sailors, cowboys, bikers, or in nothing at all.
The group is comprised of sets of prints, housed in their original glassine envelopes, organized by model. The sets include personas such as the duo Jeff Cameron & Jeremy Brent, The Bull Dozier, John Colby, Pete Bronsky, and more. Silver prints, the images measuring 165.1x114.3 mm.; 6½x4½ inches, and the reverse, the sheets slightly larger, some with the Target Studio copyright hand stamp, on verso; the glassine envelopes each with a studio shoot title and model name hand stamp; duplicates. 1970s.

Target Studios was created by photographer Jim French and his partner Lou Thomas in the mid-1970s. The studio answered to an underground demographic that craved quality homoertoica after the U.S. Supreme Court banned depictions of male frontal nudity in 1967.
