Craig Cowan was a photographer in Los Angeles, most noted for his male nude studies. He died of complications related to AIDS in October, 1993.
Cowan's unique photographs overlay the golden ratio on classically-posed male nude figures. The juxtaposition invokes a relationship between the rigid geometrical lines and the more abstract, elusive figures.
