Group of 6 drawings.
Black and sepia pen and ink with pencil on cream wove paper. Various sizes. Three signed "David" and dated "'74" in sepia ink lower right recto. Circa 1970s.
Wojnarowicz's satirical drawing of Nixon foreshadows his public grotesque portrayals of outspoken opponents of gay rights and AIDS research and relief, the other images here reflect the origins of metaphorical imagery in his work.
Provenance: The artist's brother, Pennsylvania.
