324 •(SALESMAN'S SAMPLE ALBUMS--ANTIQUES) A pair of thick albums containing over 300 photographs depicting a large inventory of antiques and furniture from Altman Galleries of Sunset Boulevard, California.
The vast albums show a range of "objects of art," including paintings and bronzes and a variety of tapestries and candelabras. Also depicted is a wonderful array of classical furniture, including ornate and embellished chairs, chests, sidetables, and more. Silver prints, the images measuring approximately 8x10 inches (20.3x25.4 cm.), and the reverse, linen backed, each with a numeric stamp on verso. Oblong 4tos, black leatherette with Altman Galleries labels affixed to the covers; twin-bolt bindings. 1920s-30s
