Dlugach was one of the giants of avant-garde
Soviet film poster design in the 1920s and 1930s.
At Reklam Film, the state-run film poster design
department, Dlugach worked alongside such
renowned designers as the Stenberg Brothers,
Nikolai Prusakov and Grigori Borisov, and
designed over 500 posters himself.

Condition A-: minor restoration at edges and
along unobtrusive vertical and horizontal folds.
Directed by Ivan Perestiani, this silent movie
poster shows the film’s stars Pavel Yesikovsky and
Maria Tenazi (also knows as Maria Tadevosyan)
caught in a metaphorical web of gambling and
crime. Sadly, the starlet Tenazi died in 1930 at
the age of 27.
