Fornasetti was a painter and an interior decorator. Much of his design work featured variations on

specific themes, the most prominent being the face of Lina Cavalieri, an opera singer from the 19th

century, and another being depictions of the sun. This is a group of exhibition posters featuring shows

of his porcelain, decorative objects and painted furniture. Full list available upon request. Group

includes several duplicates.

Hofmann studied in Zürich and later settled in Basel, where he opened a studio and started teaching.

He was a master typographer and, over the years, developed a design standard based on consistent

and rational principles aimed at creating timeless images. This image was also used on the exhibition

program for the show which featured 24 of his works.
