Siskind was the only Photographer associated with NewYork’s pioneering community of Abstract
Expressionist painters. As a result of their influence, he developed a highly original and influential
lexicon, a unique visual vocabulary, that presented photography as non-representational form. In
this series of vintage prints, the contents of which resemble minimalist brush strokes, he conveys
poetry and motion in each elegant composition.
