Chinese paper (preliminaries and leaves 161-216) as usual, moderate dampstaining, leaf A7
defective with loss of perhaps 5% of the text, a few other minor tears; partly unopened.

An Augustinian prayer manual by a friar in the Philippines. Medina, Manila adiciones 441;
Palau 123523; Pérez-Guëmes 422 (“una rareza bibliográfica”); Retana 135 (describing the
“unique” Vindel copy). 2 copies in OCLC. We know of no earlier Manila imprints at auction
in the past 25 years (with the exception of the following lot), and no copies of this work at
all—though Vindel offered one in his 1904 catalogue, which he described as “ejemplar
probablemente único.”
