Apparently photographed by a cultural institution (which organized the materials in to 18 Eastman
Kodak boxes), it’s unclear why the archive was created. Many images depict posters that were
produced during the latter months of 1918, just before the war ended, with additional relief-oriented
images published after the war, in 1919. There is a possibility that some of these posters became
obsolete, and are being seen here for the first time. About a quarter of the photographic images
show text-based broadsides or posters.
