A charming and large-scale portrait (likely a study for Eliza Doolittle) in white gown and hat with

long pink ribbon, petting a borzoi, done in shades of grey and mauve. Beaton created the costume

design for the Lerner and Lowe musical production of “My Fair Lady” in New York and London,

and the costume and stage set design for the 1964 film adaptation, which won two Oscars.
