A charming paper sculpture by Ameijide, perhaps best known for his amusing series of TV Guide cov-
ers in the late 1970s and early `80s using his inimitable paper bas relief and felt sculptures. In
addition to his popular 3-dimensional works, he was also an award-winning illustrator of posters and
graphic work for Fortune magazine, National Geographic, IBM, Phizer, and other companies. He is
included as one of the leading illustrators of the past 100 years in “The Illustrator in America” 1880-
1980: Century of Illustration,” byWalt Reed; Roger Reed, NewYork, 1984; 1993.
